The objective of the exhibition project of the Children´s Museum / Moravian Museum is to present, in an entertaining narrative and visual form, literary works by Czech and foreign authors intended for children and youth and created both in the past centuries and decades, and in the recent years.

The basic concept of the exhibition consists in the structure of literary genres. It should help young readers with the orientation in the field of literature and strengthen their interest in reading. The exhibition reminds of great repeatedly published works that attract generations of readers again and again as well as the works of recent years. It presents important personalities from the field of literature for children and youth related to this region and the city of Brno.

Reading is crucial for the development of memory, creative thinking, imagination, shaping of attitudes, personality and emotional life of children. Which interesting books are to be found in bookshops and which ones await their rediscovery by young readers in the libraries? A professional dealing with literature for children and youth and specializing in children´s readership will give you advice on appropriate books for young readers in a leaflet accompanying the exhibition.

The exhibition is supported by the South Moravian Region and the City of Brno
