Land on the horizon – we discover America

The exhibition makes the visitor acquainted with the culture of extinct Pre-Columbian civilizations Mesoamerica’s and South America´s in an entertaining and playful way. Based on the presented exhibits and interactive activities the visitors get to know the history and culture of peoples that used to live in Mesoamerica, e.g. the Zapotecs, the Olmecs, the Maya or the Aztecs, as well as in the central part of the Ands, e.g. the Moche, the Nazca or the Inca culture. Attention will be paid also to important discoverers and conquerors and to overseas voyages. Besides Christopher Columbus the exhibition stages also Hernán Cortés, Francisco Pizarro, Fernão de Magalhães or Amerigo Vespucci.

Part of the exhibition are also interactive objects – hands-on substitutes, didactic aids and games, dioramas, stylized scenes, special sound effects, animations or projection of documentaries.
